4/11/36 Rose corsages...

Rose corsages, Rose hair pins, Roses for days. Only a few days. Barter.

"All roses were originally white, the goddess of love, Aphrodite (or Roman Venus) was rushing to the aide of her dying lover, Adonis, who had been gored by a wild boar. As she sprinted through a thicket of white roses, she pricked her foot (or finger) on a sharp thorn. Her divine blood spilled onto the white petals, staining them completely red" - quote from some movie, I think GREEN FINGERS, maybe.
